This morning I stumbled upon one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.
A combination of two things I love: music and games. But not just music in a game, but music used to control the game. One man playing a cello faces off against four players with regular controllers. Depending on how the Cellist plays, he can give his units specific commands the other players have to overcome. I’m blown away at how this works. And it’s like the music also creates the atmosphere and the tension to go along with the actions it controls. It creates such a unique experience, and it shows just how much potential games as a medium have. Further still, it shows just how much exploring we’ve yet to do.
This is a thing of beauty.
